MORAL - And Life Is 1984

Just the right time to complete a lonely morning with this sound, and it's like a dream and one of my favourite SynthPop albums. Right now because I'm in the mood for, I know why .. Moral were from Århus and members are singer Hanne Winterberg, Guitarist Marco De Andreis and Keyboardplayer Ingolf Brown and what they here recorded is simply delicate. Hannes voice is so sweet and she takes you to any place in your heart. You might think I'm too romantic and yes, I am. Musically she is supported by driving minor keys and sawing guitars. Reminds me a bit of the English band Cranes which are also brilliant. Moral released their first songs on a tape called Dance Of The Dolls in 1981 and their second Whispering Sons in 1982 on Kubus Kassettes, two years later their only album on Arp Grammofon. 2007 came a sixteen song CD compilation on Karma Music out. I mean it's pity that only a few know this band and I unfortunately can't tell much about them but what I know is their music is heavenly and for me an oasis for a time-out from living. In this file are the whole album plus songs from the Whispering Sons tape. Try this.

INFO : The actual name of the song, "Welcome Princess Of Hell", was supposed to be "Welcome Princes Of Hell". It was a title misprint, where the lyrics were correctly written in the original pressing but the title wasn't. The distinction can also be heard in the song (the prince "is" vs. prince "s"), as well as the plural connotation of the lyrics "I'm alone with my friends, We will be back, we will be back". Nonetheless, what is printed on the actual album stands as the official title.

DREAM POLICE - In Combat EP 1986

Well this rare piece of wax was for a long time on my Wanted-List and I don't know who sent this in but many many thx: Dream Police was established 1978 in Århus/Denmark. At that time, the band was under heavy influence of the english punk scene, two tracks on the Pære Punk compilation from 1979 include the punkiest songs the band has ever released under the name Dream Police. During the years members have been in and out, but Johnny Concrete seems to be the holder of the spirit. The band has adjusted to styles over the years, and some of the material has a more heavy metal style. The sound of today is more hybrid agressive, and you might see them live in Denmark. Overall, the band released three EP's and their debut 12'' called "Demise" from 1981. They're present on further compilations, noteworthy is the Hardcore Volume 1 on Starving Missile from 1988 with their fantastic song 'Rudolf Hess'. So, all four songs are okay and even if they're very heavy metal the band have their roots in punk rock. Green vinyl on No Aarhus Records, megarare and now in the right place.
